Calhoun County District 1
Kathy-Sue Dunn is a Commissioner for Calhoun County District 1, now serving her third term. She has always believed that local government should be every bit as great as the people who live, visit and work within the community it serves. As part of the Commission, Kathy-Sue serves as Chair of Southcentral Michigan Planning Council and Chair of the Visitor and Convention Bureau, as well as serving the Calhoun County Board of Health, the Goguac Lake Board, and Summit Pointe. Currently, she is also Chairwoman of the Kellogg Community College Foundation, Neighborhoods Inc., Battle Creek’s Vision and Oaklawn Hospital. Kathy-Sue is also one of the founding members of Women of Impact Battle Creek.
Having lived in Calhoun County her entire life, she has always felt very connected to her community. Kathy-Sue attended Lakeview Schools, Kellogg Community College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Her two children, Bud and Suzee, were also raised in Battle Creek where she was a part of a local family business that her son is now managing.
Kathy-Sue plans to work together with the County Commission and staff to make Calhoun County the preferred place to live both today and in the future.
