Huntington Bank West Michigan
John Irwin is president of Huntington Bank’s West Michigan Region, headquartered in Grand Rapids. He previously served as the region’s corporate banking executive before being appointed regional president in January 2013.
John earned his bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and his master’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. He is also a graduate of The Stonier Graduate School of Banking. John is a 33-year banking veteran with a vast array experience in International Services, Business, Corporate and Retail Banking Administration.
John is on the board of the Gerald R. Ford Council, St. Cecilia Music Center, Women’s Resource Center and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Huntington Bancshares PAC Steering Committee.
John resides in Grand Rapids with his wife, Martha, and two daughters. John remains physically fit by participating in triathlons. He is an avid outdoorsman focusing on fly-fishing and upland game hunting. He also enjoys music and plays piano.
